Resumen

Borrowing Derrida’s insight in ‘Survivre’ that a text can call on us to read another text of which it makes little or no mention, this article explores some of the ways in which Cixous and Derrida reflect upon each other’s writing, including in texts ostensibly bearing no relation to the other’s work. In particular, it offers a reading of coincidences in Jours de l’an in which the non-coincidence of the two thinkers is debated in relation to questions of sexual difference and Jewishness.
